
South Korean actor Park Ki-woong is grieving the loss of his father, who passed away on June 7. Due to an investigation related to the circumstances of the incident, the establishment of the memorial site was delayed. Park is currently serving as the chief mourner and is staying by his father’s side at the wake.
According to sources from iMBC Entertainment, the funeral proceedings are being held at Hanyang University Hospital Funeral Hall in Seoul, with the funeral scheduled for June 11. The final resting place will be Andong Jangsa Culture Park and Memorial Park in Andong.

In a message from the bereaved family, they stated:
“Please accompany our father on his final journey so he does not feel alone. He was an angel who sacrificed everything for our family. We ask for your prayers, even if just for a moment.”
Park Ki-woong made his acting debut in the 2005 film “Kaidan” and went on to star in several notable dramas including “Bridal Mask” (2012), “Monster” (2016), and “Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” (2023). His film credits include “Art of Fighting” (2006), “Secretly, Greatly” (2013), and “Cheese in the Trap” (2018).
In addition to acting, Park is also active as a painter, showcasing his versatility and creativity across both the performing and visual arts.
